Induction melting, heating & hardening

Melt on the right technology.

Most furnace makers build one type of inverter and sell you that one. Alidia builds both. Series inverter for the small ferrous and non-ferrous shop, parallel inverter up to 12 MW for the big floor, and honest guidance on which of the two your melt pattern actually calls for.

The range

Find your size first.

Two inverter technologies and three furnace bodies, plotted on the scales that matter. Where the bars overlap, either will melt your charge. The choice then comes down to your duty cycle, your incoming supply and your budget.

Sizes outside these bars are usually still possible. Send us your charge material, target melt rate and available transformer capacity, and we will tell you which technology fits and which does not.

Control panels

Two inverters, two jobs.

Both are designed and built in house, on HI-REL components and EC grade copper, and both are put through electronic and environmental testing before they leave the floor.

Alidia series inverter control panel
25 KW to 750 KW

Series inverter control panel

Single chip ASIC control with unique software control, built for small foundries running ferrous and non-ferrous work. Custom operator interface, ultra fast linear response for thyristor protection.

  • Power factor 0.98 held at all power levels
  • Bi-logical dual track melts in two crucibles at once by sharing power
  • High speed trip protection, faults caught in microseconds
  • Digital function monitor for live plant readings
  • Single chip ASIC control design
Alidia parallel inverter control panel
100 KW to 12000 KW

Parallel inverter control panel

Built for high tonnage floors where power bills decide the margin. Rectifier design is matched to the power level so harmonic distortion stays low on your incoming supply.

  • 6, 12 and 24 pulse rectifier designs by power level
  • Full load power factor above 0.96
  • High MF voltage design up to 4000 volts
  • Low harmonic distortion, low power consumption per tonne
  • Open layout planned for fast maintenance access

Furnace bodies

Crucibles that hold their bottom.

Every body runs a low maintenance, epoxy insulated Z shaped coil and a high efficiency water cooling circuit. Tilting is hydraulic, smooth, and inchable from the hand lever.

Duraline yokeless induction furnace crucible
100 Kg to 10 MT

Duraline yokeless

The workhorse body for ferrous and non-ferrous melting, laid out so a coil change does not cost you a shift.

  • Heavy duty aluminium alloy side plates
  • Smooth hydraulic tilting
  • Side cover protects the hydraulic cylinder
  • Front Syndanio cover against metal splash
Fixed type induction furnace crucible
50 Kg to 500 Kg

Fixed type

Sized for sanitary fittings and brass parts units, and for small foundries taking their first furnace.

  • Duraline yokeless structure for high efficiency
  • Low loss design, easy to maintain
  • Epoxy insulated Z shaped coil
  • Small footprint on a crowded floor
Steel frame induction furnace crucible
8 MT to 30 MT

Steel frame

High tonnage body with uniformly distributed flux guides, built for fast melt rates and long campaigns.

  • Ultra low loss flux guides
  • Long life bottom
  • Heavy duty tilting with inching operation
  • High operational safety features

Auxiliary systems

Everything downstream of the panel.

Supplied ready to connect, so commissioning is not held up waiting on a third party.

DM water circuit cooling system

DM water circuit system

De-mineralised and soft water cooling that protects the furnace from over temperature and low pressure. Stainless steel plate type heat exchanger and stainless steel pump, installable in flexible positions and light on floor space.

Hydraulic power pack

Hydraulic power pack

Rugged pack with extra safety features and a hand lever for inching the tilt during pouring. Heavy duty flexible hose pipes and extra thick fittings, specified for a hot and dirty foundry environment.

About Alidia

Built on three decades of expertise.

Alidia Powertronics was incorporated in 1993 and has spent over thirty years designing and building induction melting, heating and hardening equipment. We acquired advanced technology in 2021 to strengthen our position as a trusted partner to foundries across India and abroad.

Since 1993
Thirty years of continuous innovation and reliability
500+
Furnaces installed and operating in customer plants

The core design team is led by a world renowned scientist alongside engineers who have spent their careers on foundry floors. We started with conventional 6 pulse melting furnaces and have since moved to 12 and 24 pulse high voltage designs, and to digital ASIC controlled series inverter furnaces. Designs are upgraded continuously so our customers keep their cost edge.

Three Decades Strong

Proven reliability since 1993

Over 30 years in the induction melting business means we have seen every challenge, learned from every failure, and built equipment that lasts. Our customers trust us because our machines are still running on their floors from the early 2000s.

Proven track record

33 years, one commitment

Since 1993, we have built furnaces for foundries across India and abroad. Longevity is not luck, it comes from listening to customers and evolving with their needs. Our oldest systems are still melting metal today.

Protection

Faults tripped in microseconds

The high speed tripping circuit is a design feature of our series inverter furnaces. It detects a fault condition in a few microseconds and trips before costly devices are damaged.

Build quality

HI-REL components, EC grade copper

PCBs use HI-REL components rated for high ambient temperature and adverse conditions, and are put through electronic and environmental testing. EC grade copper conductors throughout.

After sales

Uncoded spares at market price

We train your staff and insist you stock critical spares, so most plants are back in operation without waiting on a service engineer. Spares are not coded, which keeps your maintenance cost down.

Engineered to perfection. Three decades of proven reliability. Trusted by foundries across India and the world.
